How do you want to feel?

Are you tired of goal setting yet? As the holiday season approaches, another New Year resolution, another vision for what we want to accomplish in the next year. Sometimes I feel we're compelled to set goals just to prove that we’re living a purposeful and fulfilling life. So when people ask, we can tell all the important things we’re doing, not look shallow or wasting away our lives. Somewhere somehow, my goal setting had become another shiny object and I wasn’t empowered to create a truly happy life.
Entered The Desire Map by Danielle LaPorte. This woman is so honest and authentic. Every time I watch or listen to her my brain says, “YES! Hell yes.” I first got The Desire Map from the library, thinking “I’m just gonna check this out”. After flipping through not even 1/5 of it, I went online and ordered one for myself. As I was following along The Desire Map, I often felt Danielle was right next to me to keep me honest and to assure me that I can do this.
I’m no longer in the “goal-setting competition”, my goals come to me naturally and I feel empowered no matter how trivial they might seem. You don’t have to set goals, but if you do, I recommend checking it out.
