Three Things To Do This Holiday Season

How many holiday gift guide newsletters have you received so far?
While many are pumping out holiday shopping tips, I just want to make sure you're not buried in all the holiday party-planning, gift-shopping, card-sending, food-prepping and travel-booking frenzies. In this holiday to-do list, there are only three items:

1. Take care of yourself. Even if this means sleeping in everyday. Choose what your body ‘yearns’ and ‘needs’ over what you ‘should’ be doing. Please don’t feel obligated to do yoga, complete a post-holiday cleanse or run 10 miles.

2. Disconnect to re-connect. Try un-plugging most of your electronic devices for a day or two, or even just an afternoon. Instead, go outside and re-connect with nature, or pick up a book you’ve always wanted to read but never found the time to do so. This will feel good. I promise.

3. Be present without presents. You might spend the fast-approaching holidays with friends and families. Some maybe you haven’t seen for quite a while. The best holiday gift you can give them is your full attention while you’re with them. Being fully present to create a shared memory that will outlast any gift. 

Lastly, this is not a to-do but please remember: you are loved.
